How did Blu come to be ?
Blu is a stray that was picked up by Edgar County Animal Control on July 6, 2009. He is a friendly neutered male mutt that must have been dumped on a country road like so many dogs in rural areas. On Saturday, July 11th, one of Narnia’s trainers saw his posting on Dog in Danger, a website dedicated to helping animals in high kill shelters. Blu’s kill date was July 14th. The pictures from the shelter were of a dog with no hope. The Humane Society of hte United States estimates that 3-4 million cats and dogs are euthanized in shelters each year. We just couldn’t live with that. Here is his story.
