Hi! It’s been a LONG time since I’ve updated my blog. Since the last time we talked, I turned 1 year old! Mom says that means I have to be neutered soon. I don’t know what that means, but my brother Duke runs every time he hears that word. So, I imagine it can’t be a good thing.
Anyway, my mom took a video of me playing a game where she hid my food in the weirdest bowl I’ve ever seen. She says I need to do things like this because we can’t spend a lot of time outside playing and running because it’s so cold. That’s cool, I like to keep busy. I like to always occupy myself with something to do, whether it’s chasing the labradoodles or herding the swiffer- I am a herding breed afterall!
Anyway, here’s my latest video-
Mom said she wanted to video tape my progress as an agility dog, but she was so busy training me that she didn’t have time to tape. She says she’ll try to do better Here are some videos of me as a young pup, and some of me now, at 7 1/2 months. I can’t believe I was that little! Beckham- 11 weeks on tippy board
Today mom took me and Summer to an agility trial. Summer got to compete but mom says I’m still too young. I think that’s silly, I know I can do it. Oh well. Summer did well, mom was happy because she got 3 Q’s. Being an overachieving border collie, I thought we were supposed to get A’s not Q’s- I guess maybe I do still have some things to learn about agility. After a long day, I’m crashed on the couch. Later gator.
Hi there, Beckham here. Since I’m such a big boy now, I thought it would be nice to show how much I’ve grown over the past few months.
8.5 weeks- 10.4 lbs
11.5 weeks- 14 lbs
16 weeks- 23 lbs
5 months- 30 lbs
6 months- 33 lbs
7 months- 37 lbs
If we go by the rule of doubling my 4 month weight, then I should be about 46 pounds as an adult. My mom says that’s about what my dog mom and dad weighed. So that means I should gain another 9 pounds. Maybe I can use that as an excuse for an extra cookie out of the treat jar?
